Riding a two wheeled balance scooter can take some practice. This illustration shows the proper way to ride! Always wear a helmet for your safety!
So you went ahead and bought yourself a hoverboard, and are excited to try it out. Suddenly, you realize that you’ve never rode one, and it might take you days to learn how to ride one.
Fortunately, we are here for your rescue with a simple, easy-to-understand guide for beginners. Follow these instructions in order and 5 minutes later you’ll find yourself zooming away in your new ride!
Step 1: Stepping onto Your Hoverboard
Charge the hoverboard, turn the power on, and place it gently on the ground. They work on paved roads, so avoid gravel and bumpy roads. You can place it with LED lights facing the back or front, it doesn’t matter unless you’re riding in the dark.
Put your dominant foot on it first, push the board in an upright level and slowly step your other foot into it. The hoverboard will automatically balance itself. Do this beside a wall if your balance isn’t great.
Step 2: Turning Your Hoverboard
Stepping your right foot down turns the board left, and stepping the left foot down turns it right. As simple as that! Practice it a few times and you’re good to go.
Step 3: Ground Level
Don’t place the hoverboard on an inclined ground as it manipulates the gyroscope and affects balance
Step 4: Moving Your Hoverboard
The concept is simple; lean slightly forward to move it ahead, lean slightly back to move backwards. Lean gently lest you lose balance.
